Our Vision
The Santa Clara County Office of Education envisions a place where every child has
access to a high-quality education, in which all of the arts dance, music, theatre
& visual arts are valued for their beauty, grace and inspiration. We envision
a rich educational experience where the arts are interwoven with literacy, mathematics,
science, and humanities, deepening human growth, understanding and knowledge. We
envision our children who, transformed by the arts, will be empowered to be responsible
members of their community and who can meet and surpass the challenges of the global
21st century.

Our Strategies
Access:
- Support implementation of the Arts Education Initiative
- Develop tools to measure student and program success
- Prepare students for college requirements and professional challenges
Resources:
- Develop Digital Arts Cyber School and an Online Resource Center, including sample
arts lessons and funding opportunities
Training:
- Integrate Arts and English Language development, Grades K-5
- Enhance Arts and Technology interdisciplinary learning, Grades 6-12
- Provide teacher training with professional artists and master teachers
